Here is a Five step recepie to disable the changing of the Windows XP desktop background (Wallpaper). 1.)Disable Active Desktop. 2.)Remove ‘right click’ Set as Background. 3.)Set Prevent Changing Wallpaper group policy. 4.)Prevent Access to Registry Editing Tools. 5.)Set desktop background via registry. Step 1 Disable Active Desktop – Users can modify their desktop wallpaper using the active desktop settings.
